    Beginner's Maze

This is a simple example intended for almost complete beginners. It is deliberately unfinished to make the beginner do a little copy and paste work <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Press the Space bar to start the Active Object moving in a random way around the maze. NB The code has only been done for 3 of the 9 detectors - so soon the AO will keep moving in a straight line.

I stress that this is done in a very simple way, suitable for a beginner. No extensions are necessary. As the beginner's skills improve, better methods will be found <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

OK, not quite so simple. <img src="/center/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> You also need to deactivate all collision groups once a collision has been detected.

Why didn't you make them groups and / or just duplicate one of them?

I have no idea what this is for, and I agree, this is clearly for beginners <img src="/center/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Oh, btw, the maze has a huge problem with the setting position when touching. It makes it move, like, 15 pixels at once. Maybe you should make the objects smaller?

MechaBowser, did you actually read the post and the example?
Look at the comments in the code <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The example was in response to this thread:
    http://clickteam.com/center/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/18276/page/0/fpart/1/vc/1

There are lots of clever examples around, but they are too difficult for a complete beginner. We all have to start somewhere...
