    Virtual Frames

Hey, what's the deal with these things? I really have no idea what they do, and the help file doesn't explain them in great detail.

As I understand it, it allows for one thing only, which is frame wrapping for layers, but that's not viable because virtual frames don't extend your ability to scroll in-frame. So your ability to place objects is hampered. If you do want to use virtual frames then, you would have to use regular frames while building the level, then cut the regular frames down after it's done, which will make it impossible to do edits for anything out of sight?

Hopefully this thread should help explain it.

Wow so the only use is having repetetive geometry? AND it only works when going right or down?

    Who thought this thing up?

You can use it going left and up, you just have to use your brain. I know it's a bit much to demand [to use your brain] but I guess if you spend all your time flaming people, that's what you get.

MMF2 is ultimately about logic and patience when it doesn't work.

    Re: Virtual Frames

No you can't use it going left and up, it will eventually reach the end, but that doesn't matter because I have no use for repeating terrain right now.

I thought it'd be useful for using the frame width and height for parallax but apparently it can't without the level repeating or being very small.
