    Working with Behaviors

I have a bunch of objects and I put the code for those objects in behaviors, rather than as events in the frame editor. (This made sense for a variety of reasons that I won't bother going into here.)

    QUESTIONS:

    1. Now that I have purchased MMF2 I'm finding it harder to get to the behaviors. With MMF I could simply right click on an object and pull up the behaviors from the context menu, but now I have to click on an object, find the right "TAB" in the properties panel, click on the behaviors line, click on the elipses "...", and then click on the Edit button. Is there a shortcut or some easier way to access these events???

    2. I have a template frame that includes all my objects. I duplicate objects from there and paste them into my game frames. Then, if I need to fix a bug, I simply change the events in the original object (template frame) and all the copies of that object in my other frames seem to pick up the change automatically. But this doesn't *always* work. I was just trying to fix a nasty bug and I finally realized that changes to my "master" object were not affecting the other versions of that object. What determines this? At what point is a new instance of the original object created?

    3. Oh, and this isn't related to behaviors but I'm having a heck of a time using MMF2 with my dual monitor setup. Has anyone else had problems with this? When I run my game full screen it moves MMF2 to my other monitor and I keep having to drag it back. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    1. You can open a behaviour by right clicking on the object in the event-editor. I know of no keyboard shortcut just to open the first behaviour.

    2. Making the objects global may help.

In my experience it's Windows that has a bit of difficulty handling where applications should go when one application grabs one monitor for fullscreen use. I've got into the habit of deactivating fullscreen mode while I'm testing anything.

Having MMF2 stretched across two monitors is fantastic, by the way.

In regards to the dual monitor it is my understanding that Most apps will default to the main monitor. So you'll just need to make your main monitor the other monitor. But I have also found it to be video card specific in some instances.

Also make sure your main monitor is the left monitor and have your second monitor to the right of you. MMF2 doesn't like negative screen space. What I mean by that is if you put mmf2 in negative screen space it can crash, when you try to move the menu tool bar.
