Help with making objects stick to things

I've been wondering how to make an object stick to another object. For example lets say I would like to make a game where the player has to throw a rope to pull something or swing across a gap.

If the answer that you give me requires me to install an extension well I don't know that either .

not sure if it fits your situation, but you can set the position of your object relative to another object. it should be in: position, select position, tick the "relative to" option, select the object you want it to stick to, and then set the X,Y coordinates relative to the object. hope this helps.
