Bug causing CRASH in runtime [audio?]

I've been having a problem recently- my audio driver (for windows xp) somehow got uninstalled, so i reinstalled it, and now MMF2 runtime for one of my larger games crashes randomly. The game freezes, and then usually windows says there's a problem and closes it. this used to happen rarely before, but now it happens all the time. i know that TGF2 has a lot of problems with audio and freezing, and i'm wondering if anyone else has come across this...is this something that can be fixed, or just another problem with clickteam and audio?

I have definitely. A problem was fixed in build 243, but sound related crashes still occur. When I released Knytt RC4, I had at least 5 reports that day

For me, it only happens when I manually stop a sample or channel, or when I interrupt a sound on a channel with another one. Because I need to do that all the time, it's not too uncommon that my games crash on some computers. It doesn't happen on all PC's though, but enough for about 20-30 people reporting crashes in the previous test versions of my game Knytt. I'm afraid what will happen when I release the final version

If you have not installed build 243 beta, do it, your application will crash a lot less (but it still may occur on some PC's).

Yes, the build 243 fixes a crash in the sound routines.

I haven't been able to reproduce the second problem yet (apparently in the routines that play OGG files), but I'll test on other machines asap.

The second problem should be fixed too in the next version of the build 243.
