Hello... may i have some advice please?

    Hello there...

A friend of mine wanted me to help him finish off a project using 'The Games Factory' (version 1.06 build 38) now i wondered if you might be able to help me with a small disk problem, the game seems to always want to call the .avi (videos) from drive D: (not all uses have their cdroms on D so i wondered how i might be able to alter this so that the game (which will come on disk) will also read the video files located on the disk (in root)

would i need to upgrade games factory?... anyways sorry to be a bother i hope you might be able to assist me in this matter, thankyou in advance

You could use For example button clicked Play Appdrive$+Appdir$+"Bla.avi" I am assuming the game is played from disc.

Yes thats right, the .avi's are there on the cdroms root, no subfolders of any kind, the exe just calls from them directly... maybe i should create an installer and let the installer/archiver unpack everything to a directory on C: and i assume the game should run and find the video files, unless of course it continues to read the cdrom for video anyways thankyou for your advice thus far, i'll give it a shot, cheers
