    Animation Editor quirks

Nothing dramatic. And doesn't affect the result.

But when you import an animation to a blank direction the black dot doesn't appear to this direction ih the cross section where you set your directions. You have to close it and reopen. Then the black dot is there. Shouldn't the black dot appear immediately when you have imported an animation?

Another little thingie. Phantom colours in a blank frame. Normally you will see the grey checkered background when open an empty direction. Entering an imported direction and then switch to an empty direction shows this phantom colour from the previous direction. This brown is my transparent colour ...

Oh, while still at it and being also asked about, where is the option to create rotated directions/ opposite directions? I cannot find it

    Right click on a direction.

It was removed. It was causing memory corruption in MMF 1.5 and we had no time to redo it. And it was not so great.

I suppose. You'll have to release the code sometime
