I'd probably say that a CD is "packaging" (especially if there's no other "packaging" to speak of). If it's distributed as freeware (i.e. no cost apart from that of the media it comes on... or something like that) I don't believe you need to put a logo on it.

I think you're getting too stuck in the details - if you're selling it, put the logo in the program and somewhere on its physical manifestation (what?) if applicable. If not, you don't need to bother.

Oh, looking through the runtime agreement there are specific instructions on how to place the logo on certain packages. One type is disc jewel case, but it doesnt say anything about a plain CD (which doesnt make sense to distribute a commercial app with anyways). So i guess all my questions are answered! Thank you for the help
