How to control a external Physic device?

    Hello everyone,

As all we know MMF2 can develop excellent applications that controls your computer.

    My question is:

Does MMF can control an external device? Via Bluetooth, wireless, USB, COM1 or LPT1?

You might be thinking: Why are you asking this question?

Very simple, I intent to implement some devices on my architectural projects, which allow the user to close and open the windows, change the shading device position, and control the fire sprinklers, all this whit a simple remote control. This system would work via radio (wireless). I was thinking of connecting another device that receives the remote control signal and convert it into the COM1 or USB port as joypad keys statement (up, down, left, right, Fire1, Fire2, Fire3, Fire4).
MMF could receive and send to this device near to the PC, and the device would send this information to the windows, shading devices and sprinklers via radio.
The main idea is to convert the original concept of a basic joypad to a complex device that works via wireless and controls other devices using MMF.

    It is possible?
And if it is, where would I find a company that could design these electronic devices for me?

    Thank you for reading,
    Pedro Martins

P.S.: Congratulations for MMF, it is a great piece of software!

Designing hardware devices is really not our business.
But once you have found a designer, and have the documentation of the interface, it is really easy to create an extension to control the device. Come back to us after you have successfuly found a hardware maker!

Did you try the Arduino board? (http://www.arduino.cc/) It's easy to control it using Adobe Flash, and I believe you can do the same using MMF without the need of new extensions. Check out their website and you'll find some examples for Flash that may be easily converted to MMF.
