Is this possible with advanced gameboard?

If you've ever played astropop then you will probably know what i mean by this. I know the Advanced gameboard performs checks for connecting bricks and then carries out a selected action. The thing i'm wondering about is would it be possible for connecting coloured bricks to be removed/destoyed not as soon as the connections are found, but after another of the same type of brick has been added to the connecting bricks? I hope that made sense. Cheers!
