Window Transparency?

I thought I remembered this was possible, but I can't remember how right now, and forum searching failed.

So how do I do the Win2000/XP thing where you can make windows see-through? Specifically, for my sub-app pop-up. ^_^

Grab desktop on start? its in the properties when you click on a frame...

I'm trying to figure out how to use the Sphax Kernel object to make my window transparent. So far I've done this:

Start of Frame, enable window transparency, set transparency to 100.

nothing looks different. what am I missing?
