    Sounds question (sample volume)

    Well since there was no reply on my Sound BUG topic, I would like to ask: If I want to have sound related on the distance, I use simple distance-source formula for volume, that is OK, but how about many sounds? Im just not sure how set sample volume works. I mean when 5 players shoot, there have to be 5 sounds playing with different volume and pan.

    I guess its possible using sample volume for each played file? But should I place it after playing the sound, like Play X.wav, Set volume of X.wav?

    but that would apply on the .wav and thus also for all other players. you need to use channels. if its possible to determine what sound is playing in what channel, you can set the volume of that channel to the distance between the players.

    Hmm I dont think so. I did a few quick tests and it looks like it works well:

    Play sound X
    Set pan to -100
    Play sound X
    Set pan to 100

    if run it sounds well, the same with volume. But Im not sure, I will try it more preciously rather
