Graphic Glitch With Active Picture Object

I'm trying to simulate an electric meter whre there is a round selector know that needs to the turned. I have made an image of the meter and extracted the round slector using photoshop and brought the image into a picture object. The problem is that there is some pixelation around the edges that makes it look really bad. Any way to avoid this?
    Thanks in advance.

Is it possible that you have not selected the "antialias" option in Photoshop's mask tool while creating the round crop selection?

I selected the selector with a circle marquee. I then unchecked the anti-alias check box. Then I selected crop. Then saved to a bmp file. Then selected that bmp file when I set up the active picture object. Where am I going wrong?

Uncheking the anti-alias box cause the cropped picture to have pixelation on boundaries.
Try instead to check the anti-alias box, compare the two pictures and see the difference.

Re: Graphic Glitch With Active Picture Object

I get the same results either way. I'm having trouble figuring out what to do after I make the circle marquee selection and then select crop. It does not crop the circle. Could you be kind enough to be more specific about the steps that I should take. I left out a few steps that I must be doing wrong.
    Thanks.

Try colour filling the areas you want to be transparent white, then you can see easily where the pixelation is and deal with it, then colour fill it back to rgb(0,0,0). Just make sure you UNCHECK antialiasing for both colour fills, set tolerance to 0 and make the fill uncontiguous.

    Stuckboy,
That works perfectly. I hope to understand 10% of photoshop in my lifetime.
