need help with movement engine

ok well i have a rts type of game and i want it to when i select a "people" then right click it brings him to the spot where i right clicked. that was the easy part no i want it to be able to move multiple people and all stop them at the same place.
here is what i am doing right now for the movement.

User left clicks on object - set "people" alterable value a to 1

Alterable A=1
user clicks with right button - create object "stopper" at mouse, "people" movement start, set direction to direction between "people" and mouse(using advanced movement object for this)

collision between "stopper" and "people"
"people" Alterable A=1 - "people" movement stop, "stopper" destroy

need help hurry

Do you want all the units to stop on the same square? If so wouldn't you be getting a bit crowded?

well i want them to stop as close to the square as possible without overlapping other units
