    Capture screen object

    Hi all,
    I can't find the file Default.cot from the extensions folder for the Capture screen object and my MMFD2 is supposely up to date. Is there an extension I missed? Can somebody link me to it please?
    Btw, here is the quote from the help of the Screen Capture object.
    NOTE: this is the only option available when the Capture Object is first downloaded and installed. To produce AVIs etc, you need to add to this list. Click on Edit, then on Import. Choose the file Default.cot from the Extensions folder. This file contains the default tool configuration, including Video for DOS.

    When you next look at this list, you will notice some new options
    eg Video for DOS -> AVI RLE 256 colors

    Providing you have Video for DOS installed on your machine, the capture process can automate AVI production. (We strongly advise you to get a copy of this old, but powerful shareware utility. ). Let's imagine that you enter the following data in the dialog box :

    Re: Capture screen object

    Default.cot is a text file containing the following:
    [Tool0]
    Name=Video for DOS -> AVI RLE 256 colors
    Program=vfd.exe
    Command=#captureDir##capturename#*#CaptureExt# -a2 -o#FinalPath#
    Dir=1
    Force32000=1

    [Tool1]
    Name=Video for DOS -> FLC
    Program=vfd.exe
    Command=#captureDir##capturename#*#CaptureExt# -o#FinalPath#
    Dir=1
    Force32000=1

    [Main]
    Ntools=2
    I haven't seen it distributed with MMF since version 1.0/1.2. You'll have to copy the above text into notepad and create it yourself.

    Actually nvm I just need the program to make it a gif image. Anybody have it? Also when I run the program and type in a save as name(the "final name"), it says cannot run tool C:/Docs/etc.

    Re: Capture screen object

    Raytrace just copy and paste into notepad and then save it as default.cot. Save as all files, add .cot to the end of the name, and make it an ANSI(probably doesn't matter).

    Are you looking for this?

    I never thought it really worked that well but it could just be me. Its not a Clickteam product so we can't really help much.

    Re: Capture screen object

    I believe it can also pack together a series of images into a avi file.
