Yea i agree that it will still mean 1 person having to do it.. lol, but that then means ONLY 1 has to ever do it, and everyone else who doesnt have the ability to do it, be able to do it. I see 100% where your coming from, but it would be so much easier if 1 person did it for good, rather then everyone of us having to start doing lots of loops ETC (folders in folders) everytime we need to do somthing, and im sure its quite a used command in Application Developing.

You can make extension requests over at the ClickWiki.
You can also make suggestions to improve object at the ClickWiki as well.

    Gibbon,
basically move a file or a folder means copy it and delete the source. This can be obtained with the recursive_file_object that allows you to operate with subfolders.

Bat the problem is not this, the problem is, as I said in a previous post, dear Joewsky, that at ClickTeam seems that no one every asked himself this question: "Which are the basic thing every computer user do every day?"
If no one knows the ansver, I'll give you: users (at any level, from the dummy till the best programmer) work with files and folders, every day of their lifetime.
Move, copy, compare, delete, rename, check properties, see if are in use, if are there or there aren't... and so on.
What ClicTeam does? Releases new MMF2 with lots of enhancement but the same FileObject that never changed until last 5 years!
Many thanks ClickTeam, and many thanks to all those helpful guys that are able only to say "post a suggestion at ClickWiki".

The situation is well described in Gibbon's signature: Crazy... absolutely crazy.

By my way, for my next project I will buy another program and I will give MMF to play at my dog.

    Cheers!

I hope your dog enjoys MMF.

The file object has been updated in the past 5 years.

I am going to close this topic as it has become a complaint thread and not a thread on constructive ideas on how to accomplish what the original poster wanted to accomplish.
