    Request for hardware accelerated graphics.

There is no reason for MMF2 not to have hardware accelerated graphics or an extension for it.

Nearly everyone's computer can handle hardware accelerated graphics to some extent and those who don't usually don't play games.

Sure flashy 3D graphics don't make a game, but there is a reason why I play Puyo Puyo on my Xbox instead of SNES, and thats because of the graphic capabilities.

And I'm not just requesting for 3D either, take soldat for example, why are we unable to make a game with similar graphics?

Why even have a "developer" version if no one is going to sell anything because the games are less attractive than others.

So please extension developers, make a hardware accelerated graphic display extension, sell it if you have to, id buy it.

This is something that can't be done via extension and its on the work list and hopefully sometime this year it implimented into MMF.

Actually, I'm pretty sure we -could- make a 2D accelerated graphics object, but it wouldn't be able to draw standard mmf actives or backgrounds. Instead, the object would either need to have actions to add / draw sprites, or we'd have to code a lot of "proxy" objects that hook into accelerated gfx. obj. to draw themselves (effectively replacing every graphical mmf object).

In short, it would probably be more work than accelerating mmf itself, and it would have severe limitations besides, so I doubt it'll be done.

Hmmm that would be interesting Dynasoft but as you have written that solution is not as good as the core of MMF just doing it

Thats okay, I don't like MMF's animation system anyway.

Ive been looking for such an extension, but unless it has UI components it might not be much more than a gimmick.

I encourage you to make such an extension.
