    custom icons not "taking"

I like to change the MMF icon for a stand-alone exe (that yellow lightning bolt on the red sphere) to my own thing, but the reliability of this is irregular.

On other computers, sometimes my custom icon will display, other time's it's MMF's default icon.

I'm wondering if this is some setting that I'm not doing somewhere when I build my stand-alone, or whether it has to do with the settings on the "host" computer?

    MMF II 243.

    Thanks.

In the icon editor there are various different versions, one for each combination of colour depth and size. You have to edit them all.

You have a different versions like Joshtek says. MMF allows you to edit the larger icon for use on the start menu or desktop for example, and another smaller one for use in the application or games title bar. Edit them all. At the bottom of the editor window should be a load of red balls with lightening bolts through them. Don't leave any of them red and you'll find that this problem disappears
