    "ModFX3: ModFusion eX" playback problem...

It's pretty simple, my code is like this:

    Load Mod Appdrive$ + Appdir$ + "song.it" into Chache ID 1
Set Mod 1 volume to 50
Load Mod 1 onto Track 1
    Play Track 1

But, alas, the application crashes the second the music is supposed to start. It starts clicking and a window to close the application comes up. If I click in the game window I can keep playing completely fine with sound working, except of course the music only clicking over and over.

Someone else must've had this problem. Is it fixable in some way?

The actions look fine to me - what are the conditions that trigger them? And can the .IT file be played outside of MMF?

I've tried several conditions. Right now it's "upon pressing Y"...

And the ModFX object doesn't play the MODs MMF has put within itself, does it?

It doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong. I remember that once when I tried ModFX3, I had crashes with it too. That was the mmf1.5 version however. There's always a chance that ModFX3 isn't compatible with all modules. I'm thinking that perhaps the .it was saved with Modplug Tracker, which often violates the standards of the .it format, and if ModFX3 is not programmed to handle that. Try another .it that you know was saved in Impulse Tracker. If that doesn't crash, you have the answer (otherwise I'm just as clueless as you).

That's weird, I've used Modplug Tracker all the time to make my modules and never had any problems.

If they play correctly in ModFX3, I guess that's not the problem then, unless konjak use some additional MPT or MPT Wild specific features (stereo samples, etc) that you don't.

konjak: How about if you post an example file, and include the song you wish to play?
