Quick MooClick Server question

Ok, lets say I have 4 client pcs connected to a Mooclick server. (on different sessions) ( The PCs are all on the internet, not local network)

I want the server to send a message to all of them.

I have 'on server message" in the clients, and


every ten seconds-->"send text "hello" to everyone"

on the server, but it doesn't seem to work...


I also tried adding "+ subchannel = 1" to the the chlients, but still no go.

Each client can see other people connected to their respective sessions though, and their local chat systems work, so I know the clients are connected properly...

Any ideas?

they all have to be on a channel (sign on to channel) and you have to send the text to the channel using that action, not the other action

Can the server send data to all channels?(Sessions)?

Using Server-Send text will send data to all clients in all channels.

Close. Server-Send will simply send to all clients - they don't need to be on a channel.

Very strange, in the server app:
every ten seconds,
Server: Send "hello"

and in the client app:

on server message - end app

yet they don't close. (I also tried sticking the message into an editbox, and add 1 to a counter, but it doesn't look like the info is getting there...

also,
If you run a client app on the same machine as the server, will it receive a sever-sent message? ( to clarfy, the other clients are NOT on the same network)


any ideas?

The rest of the stuff works (movement,shooting, regular chat, etc)

Not sure what the issue was, but I made a test client and sever and it works.
