    Re: Vista problems/crash

    Odd...

I've tried the examples you mention with Vista : StickyObject.mfa and Splitscreen.mfa work fine, no problem at all.

Could someone else test these examples with Vista?

Edit: I've also tried the examples provided with the Sphax Kernel object, they work fine.

If you are using the MMF2 b244 beta, then you need to use the new beta of the Select Object too:
    http://www.dynamicarcade.co.uk/downloads/extensions2/Select/Select%20Object%20v0.09%20beta1.zip

Unfortunately I don't have vista so if there are any other compatibility problems then I can't help.

    Re: Vista problems/crash

I am trying out Vista right now and I want to ask other Vista users if they get a weird choppiness in running MMF2 applications, at regular intervals. Doesn't SLOW the game, it just skips every other frame for about a second, every three seconds.

Man, I just can't get away from rendering problems.

MMF2 seems to run on Vista exactly the same as it does on XP for me.

    Re: Vista problems/crash

I had the same issue as Konjak (when scrolling), but I changed my game to run at 60fps and it's been working fine ever since.

I assume the default is 50 FPS due to PAL? I usually set it to 60 FPS and never really have any issues.

Then again, I've had nothing but problems since I got my new laptop with Vista on it (benchmarking both XP and Vista on the same Dell 1501 system, XP always achieved a higher frame rate... running the FFX12 "benchmark" and 3DMark at my job).

I always have 60Hz and PAL is only a TV thing.
