Could be the profile is corrupt or doesn't allow desktop changes.
    Check the Policy for it
I had a problem when I disabled UAC
I had to re-create an account.

Hmm, your example works fine sephen1980, so the problen isn't in the admin profile. I can't figure out what the problem could be form your example so I posted my example on your page, and maby you could look at it.

Where did you upload it? I can't seem to find it...
Try uploading it to the File Archive, resubmit it to Fusion World, or upload it to the Fusion World Forums.

    Re: MMF2 and Vista

I posted a link on the Fusion world forum, under File archive with the title Creating a shortcut.

Your program works perfectly on my Vista Home Premium 32 bit system. I don't know what the problem could be? What are your system specs? And do you have your app privaledges set to Administrator? Check your UAC controls, too, and let me know.

It was the UAC. I turned it off and everything worked fine But how come that your example worked even when UAC was on?

    Thanks for everything!
