[Request] Virtual Key Object or something similar?

Would some kind person be able to build an extension similar to the old Virtual Key Object?

It was extremely useful, and in my searches for alternatives I've found several comments from users who would love to see an object like this brought back again.

It was SO useful for building interface-enhancing applications because it could detect keystrokes without the MMF window having focus. Even something as simple as pressing CTRL to bring up your program isn't possible now.

I dunno what's happened to TurboFerret, so I'm not sure if there's any chance he'll ever convert this object, but some kind of alternative would be EXTREMELY useful.

turboferret is extremely busy from what other people say, he was working on (lets face it) the biggest extension ever for MMF 1.5 / MMF2 (spanning 8 objects in 1.5 and having to recode the whole thing for 2.0), so he probably has other things in his life that he is busy with, if a replacement is made then OK but best to not disturb / mass annoy / pm turbo

Yeah, I guessed he'd be very busy at the mo. Hopefully someone else might be able to make an alternative, guess we'll have to see.
