    mmf2 Graffics...

If you have MMF2, can you use the library objects for games on the internet or for selling games etc? If so, is there any way to get more grafics? MMF2 doesn't always have all the things I need and I can't do computer art worth beans. :/

AFAIK the graphics are royalty free. You can also get Reiner Prokein's graphics for free from http://reinerstileset.4players.de/.

Those last graphics you said are free for personal use, but they might not be royalty free. You should contact the author before trying to sell a game made with them.

But to be honest, original graphics are always the best. Even if yours look like absolute crap, that's okay as long as it's a fun game to play. However if you are REALLY terrible, you can always team up with someone and get them to draw the graphics. It's a great experience and you end up having to do only half the amount of work, and getting your game out twice as fast.

Check out the disclaimer. They are free for both commercial and non-commercial use so long as you give credit. If you end up making lots of money then you could always ask Tiles if he'd accept a donation, tho.

I think this depends on the audience you're targetting. When mainly targetting clickers, you should create your own gfx or you'll get complaints because of the lib gfx. (I must admit, I don't understand why many clickers seem to have a problem with them, the lib gfx are better than many self-made ones)

When targetting non-clickers, you better use the libs unless your own drawing skills allow to create better ones.

    Re: mmf2 Graffics...

My graphics are really royalty free when you make games with them. No fee nor any other stuff like that. Even for commecial games. Here i just want my name in the credits

Donations, even when welcome, are a special case in my situation. No PayPal possible at my page. And sending the donation via bank transfer makes just the bank rich. Costs more than the donation is worth. They are thiefs LOL. Some guys have sent me letters with some money then. But a few of those letters got lost. And so i cannot recommend this way either. Which leaded to the situation that i don't want donations at all. The best donation you can give me is to make good games with my graphics

It's impossible to provide a bundled zifpile with all graphics inside. Not only my webspace would make trouble then. But i would always have to update such a file with every new graphics. An immense effort.

You can use a webripping software to download more than one file from the page. Google will lead you. Rightclick at one of the buttons in the menu and open the needed page in a new window. Now you can download all content at once with your webripping software.

Makes no sense in my opinion though. I have unioned the Bitmaps and MMF files a while ago. Which means you would download the double set. I have also too much stuff up. You would get lost when you would download all. But there is no need to anyway. My page exists since years. And i am not planning to close it in the future. So you can always just download the graphics you currently need for your project.

Own graphics, well, unique graphics is what makes a game. So that's indeed the best choice. But not everybody is talented enough to create good looking art. And there aren't this much pages that provides royalty free graphics. Most pages provides ripped stuff. That's why my page exists. At least useful as placeholder art to find another artist when you really need unique art.

    All the best

    Reiner
