    ARGH! Globalised events... I'm stuck!

So, a week or two ago I posted on the 'Older products' board because I was having trouble with TGF 1. I'd dug out an old game project and was trying to re-organise the events into globalised groups, so that my 'engine' would be global for every level: however, I hit problems, and TGF wouldn't let me do it. I eventually figured out it was because it doesn't like globalising Sound or Create events, and disables the 'global group' option completely.
So, I tweaked the game up a bit and then ported it to MMF2, thinking that would be a bit more powerful and able to do this sort of thing. Except, I can't figure out how to make events global in MMF2 at all! Could someone please take the time to explain to me where I'm going wrong? My 'retooled old game' really isn't getting off the ground ATM :-/ How does one go about making the game engine global to every level so that things can be changed across the whole game quickly and easily?
    Thank you in advance!

OK, I've figured out how to get into the Global Events editor, and I've imported all the objects from my Engine level.

How do I transfer all the events from the Engine level to the Global Events screen?

Select all the events you want to transfer by holding down shift or control while selecting. Then press ctrl+c or go to the edit menu and choose copy. Then go to the global event editor and press ctrl+v or go to the edit menu and choose paste.

Yeah, I thought that would work, too. But it doesn't.

    I would either :

    1. In Global editor "Import all objects",(click on the upper right icon in the Global edvent area) THEN paste it, or better yet,

I would open both apps, and then create the rules over again. (yeah, I know, it'll take you a million years... ;P )

Thing is, when i copy/pasted things, on more then one occasion, the app eaither crashed or the things didn't paste in the proper order...(This WAS With an earlier builkd of MMF2, though)

    *is baffled*

I just selected all my events, Copied them, went to the Global Events screen, imported every object in my game, and then found that the events won't Paste. The option is greyed out in the menu.

    Bleh?

I really don't feel like transferring 200 lines of events by hand :-/
