Hey,

I have a few questions about the MooClick chatrooms.

Can somebody here give me a beginner tutorial on how to create rooms, and also, how to create commands for a special version of the app for admins with the powers to kick, ban, and mute players.

Thats not what I'm asking about.
What i'm asking for tutorials of:

How to make a 'room' feature.
How to create an admin-only app (with Ban and Kick functions)

Well there are not any tutorials like that - that I know of but....

If you follow along the tutorial it would be just like using the whisper feature except you would do something else.

For different rooms just expand the selection of room -- like where the tutorial has you join the lobby.

Sorry thats not a lot of help but its a lot of learn by doing and if you follow and understand the simple chat you know everything you need to know to get on the road.

If you wanted to make a kick feature, you could send a message on a certain subchannel and if someone receives a message on that subchannel they are kicked off.

http://puchisoft.com/MMFOnline/ features examples on rooms and kicking, but it was for MMF 1.5 so doesn't take advantage of the improvement to MooClick that was introduced with MMF2. Still, it should help you with the concepts.

No, this is a really bad way to do it and makes it very easy to modify the client not to respond to the message.

Oh, I didn't know that. What other ways would you suggest?

You have to have a custom server to do the kicking.

I would suggest to AlecArmBruster to use your own server, because I noticed you were using the sphax server. And also, as Dynasoft said, you can kick people if you control the server.
