    You don't need to set a limitation--it defaults to a limit of 500.

    My experience is that MMF can handle a pretty hefty number of objects if you're careful with them. (Don't use alpha channels,
    set "Inactivate if too far from window" in the object's runtime options to "yes," shut off fine collision detection, etc.)

    There's one particularly big thing I'd watch for with this--try to use Collide events instead of Overlap events. I seem to recall the devs saying something about true collision events not taking up any processing time when objects are not actually colliding, whereas with overlaps it will check for the overlap during every frame.
