Here is a fully commented example on how to send a file over the internet with MOOclick.

When I tested this out, it only sent over the path of the file to the other PC...?

It works with some files. I don't know what defines a file that can or cannot be sent. My guess is any file that can be broken into text then restored can be sent. Here is a list of files I tried to send and they worked:
.exe
.txt
.rtf
.html

It doesn't send the pathname, just the file name. Earlier when you said that it only showed the pathname I used a .doc (Word Document) and it displayed the same thing. My guess is that certain files will display the pathname when it cannot recognize the file's contents. As I said earlier this will probably only work with text based extensions (don't know why it works with .exe). You might be able to send it as binary.

It didn't work with .exe for me. I believe you have to encode the binary and then decode it for it to work (using the binary object and binary quickload object).
