My game screwed up and now it wont work plz help!

i was making my best game so far in multimedia fusion 2 when it started "not responding" i closed the program and when i opened it back up again, it says "failed to open document" with a little "!" by the words. is there a way to fix this? if so, please tell me.

The file must be corrupt. You do have backups, right?

i have no clue
is there a way to uncorrupt it?
i have backups but they don't work either
could i change the file type mabye? or change the type so it can open in MMF1 and then see if it works? if you want the file here it is

A file normally gets corrupt when something goes wrong in the middle of saving it. Generally you end up with only half a file (more or less), and there's no way to recover the rest without backups.

Sounds suspiciously like "I have no backups". Backups won't magically stop working just because MMF2 crashed in the middle of saving your current version.

The alternative is that the file is ok and it's MMF2 that's been damaged, which would suggest that you have a virus.

i opened up another file (a different game) and it worked.

PS when my screwed game was not responding i pressed "CTRL + S" and it said "failed to save document"

If you didn't keep any backups of your current game though, you might have lost your work forever.

MMF1.5 and newer has auto-backup option, always make sure it's enabled and save every time you finish something, even if very minor (fixing a bug, changing graphics).
