    trouble with animation

    hey guys. in my link im attaching i want my little ninja dude to fash and flicker like in the animation i put for em called hurt. but its not working no matter what i do. ive been at this for a few days so if anyone would help me out i would be much thankful.

    Hmmm, my computer was blocked from accessing that site - reason given - Spy Site.

    Have you tried playing with the Visibility actions of the Active Object - Flash, Change Ink Effect, Set semi-transparency?

    no i havent. i dont know how to use those. so i just mostly used alternate values. but i know i messed up somewhere

    The Flash action is really simple.

    Try this event:
    User clicks with left button - Right click on your Active Object, click on Visibility, click on Flash Object, then click on OK when the timing window pops up.

    Your ninja dude will flash on and off every second until you exit the app.

    mmm but i want em to play the animation i have on em for hurt.

    Have you imported the animation successfully into MMF?
    Does it play in the Picture Editor if you click the Play button?

    This is how I do hurt animations:

    * I have an alterable value on my player named "Hurt" or something like that.

    * When the player takes damage, the alterable value is set to 125 or so.

    * Whenver this value is above 0, subtract 1 from it.

    * When the value is at 124, change the animation to hurt, and ignore player control

    * When the value is at 100, restore control, restore animation, and flash the player.

    * When the value is at 1, make the player visible.

    So when the player is taking damage, I also check to see if his Hurt value is at 0 before he can even take damage. I also make sure his hurt value is at 0 when animating anything else, so the hurt animation wont be interrupted.

    Hmmmmmmm... well I downloaded it and found that it is because you don't properly restore the animation, I have to jump to restore it...
    Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3
