how do i crop part of an active picture at runtime

    Hi all
I am trying to make a application, where you can add two images ( picture of coins heads and tails ) by draging and droping the coins onto the screen placements and when they are shown in the screen have the proggy resize the whole lot to say an 800x600 picture. Getting the piccy on screen is sorted, resizing is almost done as long as i am resizing a screenshot of the images.
What i really need now is to be able to crop each individual piccy and reinsert the croped section of the pics into the active picture objects, then save and reload that as a piccy.
I just can not seem to work out how to crop the images, and store the area in the clipboard.

    anyone have any ideas please

Screen Capture object can do it, but it's slightly fiddly [smile]

I have tried the screen capture object, but when i want to resize using the image manipulator object the results are stretched or pixelated.
Is there no way to have a drag selection box or crop feature added to either the active image object or image manipulator object.
i wil try again with the screen capture object and see if i can try to work around my probs, unless you have any ideas or pointers that may help me in my quest

Why do you need the image manipulator object? I did it by reimporting to an Active Picture object back in MMF1.2

Active Picture has Resample now, so it should be prettier than back then.

Re: how do i crop part of an active picture at runtime

Ok heres what i have got so far , rough n ready.
What i want to do is try to combine the two proggys so that i can get a piccy of a coin, drag it place in the window, then be able to crop the piccy so that i only have the coin showing. Do the same for the other side of the coin.
Then save the whole thing as one imnage keeping the aspect ratio correct, to an 800x600 piccy.

Heres the two parts i am trying to get to work together.

I do hope someone can point me in the right direction or tel me an easier way of achieving my aim of draging and droping both images of coins and croping them to suit then saving as one 800x600 piccy.
