Copy/paste frames to a counter object

Can this be done? It won't let me, even if I copy the correct amount of frames...

That doesn't work for me either, seems like you'll have to copy the actual bitmap across for each frame, which is a bit naff.

Re: Copy/paste frames to a counter object

Also, while I'm here... is there any way to change the image of an object without having to put that image on another direction/animation or creating another object?

Like, a command, "Change image to image of Object X"?

If not, I can probably work around this, but it would be very useful...

You can use the Active object action Animation -> Load frame to load external images at runtime. Is this what you wanted?

Or you could simply use the Active Picture object instead.

Not exactly what I wanted but it'd do the job if nothing better comes up.

It is very annoying not being able to copy/paste frames in counters. I've asked for that (missing) feature a long time ago. I don't know if Clickteam looked into it. I guess this is not top priority.

I guess the best way is to just create one counter and clone it when you need another. If you want it for score or lives, just always set the counter to the score/lives value.
