Rich edit

I'm using the rich edit object to load and display an RTF file. The RTF file contains hyperlinks, but when it is loaded, the links are unclickable and appear as

    [color:#0000FF]Name <http://myurl>

    rather than just

    [color:#0000FF]Name

and the links are pretty much essential. Does anyone know what causes this? I'm not familiar with these features of the rich edit object.

    Thanks in advance!

haven't used this object much, but try enabling the Rich Edit 2.0 features in the object properties

I don't think RTF can do this at all. Once I was trying to get underneath the Rich Text Format to figure some things out, and if I recall it correctly, I think there is no way to show only the name of the link and not the URL. Maybe you can try some HTML coding or something?!? Don't know what you need it for. Or you can maybe make your own format that would... nah... I lost it

Hm... How you inserted this link in the RTF file before?

It seems that the RTF object always looses the links even when I set them before with Link on and Link off. Maybe the RTF object don't save this information in the files...

    Re: Rich edit

As far as I understand it, so I could be incorrect, the RTF identifies the http:// in the text and creates it as a link... even though your RTF file contains proper 'text hyperlinks' I don't know if support for those is there currently.

I've never had to open a file with this property so I'm unsure on a solution I'm afraid
