    Is Scrolling In/Out Possible?

    Hi everyone,

Currently in the midst of a new project I am working on, but im having a bit of difficulty with the scrolling. I can scroll around one player fine, but obviously if your player 2, you can simply walk out of the range of the screen without it following. Considering my game is based on platforms with holes and obstacles and such in it, this isnt good.

What I am wondering is that is there a way of zooming in and out automatically, so that I wont lose my characters off screen? Thanks in advance :P

I don't know about zooming but you can make an invisible active object and centre the scrolling on it, then ensure it is always in between both players. You'd then just need to put something in to deal with handling the players if they go too far apart.

Check out the following example: Realtime Zoom based on distance between objects.

    Re: Is Scrolling In/Out Possible?

Thanks for the link Andos, the only thing is is that I have encountered a few problems. Either my window becomes too small to see anything, or it just scrolls following one player like normal. I more or less just substituted the value you had used in your example for my characters and rame sizes. Any ideas? :S Much appreciated!
