FTP Object, something is missing.

Greetings,

Altough i am VERY happy with the FTP object, and see it has much potential, im a bit sad it doesnt support something simple as CMOD commands. How am i supposed to make a decent FTP application if you cant CMOD files? Can this please be added?
Or if it is already possible, can one share how todo it.

Umm yeah, I noticed this ages ago and didn't really bother CT with it as I don't think I'll make a client as good as the ones allready out there. Setting file attributes would sure make the FTP object worth using.

Any news by CT maybe about if this can be considered to intergrate? Its a bit of a waste now, because we have an FTP object, but its kinda uncomplete.

You could always use MooSock...

Aint that a lot slower? i meen i wouldnt mind using MooSock, but if it slows down bigtime, i might as well use Visual Basic, or just download LeechFTP. Where i still prefer to make a nice thigy with the FTP object. Would be cool to have a decent working MMF FTP

Moosock isn't reliable if you want to send big files, I made some tests few days ago and the reception of large files didn't seem to work.
But the sending part probably works, so it could be ok for a FTP client, I'm not really sure...
