    using screen capture object

    Hi Everyone.

    I'm using a frame as a sub application to create a pause menu, and am using the screen capture object to brab the current game screen just before I go to the sub-app frame to create the illusion that the gameplay screen is paused in the background. It works great except that there's a flash for a split second as the image is saved and then reloaded by an active picture object. Is there a way to save the frame-grab to the clipboard instead of the hard-drive so it would all happen faster?

    thanks.

    If you set your subapplication to "Modal" it will pause your main app.

    Re: using screen capture object

    I know that but I want the paused game screen to show behind the menu (sub-app) that pops up. I tried making the frame that is the sub-app menu smaller than the window size, but it got automatically scaled to fill the window size, so there was no "empty" space around it for the game-screen to show, and of course, it was distorted.

    any other ways to accomplish this?

    thanks.
