Networking an application to a webpage

This isnt about makng an online game. Im developing a app (like steam) That launches and downloads my developing groups games. Im trying to make it so it views a webpage in the app. Is there even a way to do it? Thanks in advance.

You can use the ActiveX object and hook into the backend controls of the Microsoft Web Browser (aka Iexplorer) to display online pages.
