Border?

i'm in the process of making a game, and i was wondering how i'd go about having a homemade border that followed the screen exactly while the game happens inside of it.

i have the border drawn out to the same WxH as my game is, with some transparency where i need it to be, and i already have the screen centered on my main character, so i'm stumped.

Just make an active system box object with a centered image in it and make it as big as the frame and then in it's runtime options uncheck follow the frame if it's already checked. Also be sure that it's at the top left most part of the frame.

i know have a new problem, how can i make buttons out of these objects? since i'd like to throw some menu options on there, but nothing i try is working.

edit: i figured it out, using a Active Picture.
