    Convention questions

    Hi all!

You know that the Clickteam convention will take place in England on the 1st of September. As in every convention, there will be a question/answer hour (or more).

So please, in this thread, ask all the questions that you want to ask. I will answer to them at the convention, and the answers will be posted in the forum. And maybe the videos.

    Be creative!

What is the situation with MMF Fusion (MMF 3D) that was announced (on paper) at CC 2005... Is it still on the cards or has the concept been dropped?

    2.
I appreciate that this question may be way too early to ask, but do you have any ideas (on paper, in the back of your mind) of where you would like to go with MMF 3?

    Re: Convention questions

Isometric movement.... will it ever be incorporated into MMF (preferable MMF2)? Games with a isometric view have been very popular for a long it now, yet MMF has even after all these years, never given us a easy way of incorporating true isometric movement in our games.

When refering to isometric movement, I mean true isometric, not the kind we often see around here, with wrong angles. Isometric:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isometric_projection as in SimCity, Age of Empires, StarCraft, Civilization and so on.

I'm looking for a movement that could be used when only controlling one figure in a game, but also when controlling more figures (as in a rts game).

Single player when using the arrow keys (8 directions type movement)for example, multiple figures when using point and click, perhaps a isometric ball type movement.

I'm more interested in Pocket PC development, After Vitalize is ready What's next Hardware support for MMF2?
Is a Pocket PC version of MMF going to cost the earth?
Is it going to be developed before next year?
Is a Bluetooth object going to be created any time soon?

You've said that Hardware Acceleration will be added this year, will it use directX 9 or something?

Although i think MMF2 really needs it, i'm concearned that for casual game developers directX9 or whatever is too big a system requirment for that market.

    Thanks.

    Re: Convention questions

Jeff did specifically state hardware acceleration would be added this year.

    My questions are:

-When hardware graphics acceleration is implemented, objects like the lens and perspective object will become obselete. Will hardware accelerated equivillants be provided?

-Will it be possible to write custom pixel shader effects for MMF2?

-Will it be possible to draw polygons with hardware accelerated engine, via an extension or otherwise?

I mean like how you could with the overlay redux object.
