Flipping an object at runtime. Possible?

    Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to flip an object at runtime. I know you can change the Angle at runtime, but I'd like to have the object flip instead. If it is possible, I'd like to know how to do it.

    Thanks!

    Okay, I'll try it. Thanks!

EDIT: Now, how would I flip the object without flipping the background underneath it?

Horizontal/Vertical flip for actives is on the wishlist. Hopefully Clickteam will add this feature soon. Not to say that sprite flipping is a pretty common practice in games.

you could have a viewport object underneath the active, and one on top of it.

You could use the Active Picture object, because I believe that it has a built-in flip action.

Re: Flipping an object at runtime. Possible?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try them out. OliverPearl, yes, I'd say flipping objects isn't too commonly done. I'm actually doing it to conserve memory (or whatever it is that is displayed in the debugger in megabytes) because I have some pretty big animations from another program which I'm putting in MMF2, and most of them need to be displayed in both a left and right direction. So, I figure I'll just have the right direction, and flip it when I need to use the left direction.
