    Changing Objects Colors

I have a bunch of copies of an object, and I want to be able to set the color of each individual object. When I use the set color thing, it changes the color of EVERY object that is a copy of the one I am changing. Is there any way around this?

    Re: Changing Objects Colors

Are they copies created in MMF2 (real copies) or are they created at runtime (Create an Object)?

Actually there is a way around it. Alterable Values, you could store the color value in an alterable value, and just change the color of the object by changing it's value.

    Right?

You might be able to adapt Overlay with Alpha Channel (by LIJI) or generally use the Overlay object, but it depends on exactly what you want to achieve.

Using fastloops and spread values you can choose to apply it only to a specific dupicate.

Can you please be more specific? All instances of an objects share the same image bank.

    Re: Changing Objects Colors

Wait for hardware support. until then, just run the frames through a filter then import back into MMF. I know the game will be bigger but if you are patient, you'll be able to accomplish this with a 'simple' shader command.

Nope, because all duplicates of an object (NOT clones) share the same picture data (I guess) and when you change the color I guess it changes the picture data, so all the objects that share the same data get their color changed too.
