Afaik Vortex2 told us a while back that the physics extension was almost finished. I haven't heard anything reticently, but I am ready to offer a donation (a quite large one) to have it's functionality in MMF2 as soon as possible.

Been waiting for this one. Has Vortex2 been active on the forum latley?

I guess, he's busy with alot of other projects too..
Be patient!![]()

Vortex2 is stil active on the forum but he is a little too busy actually.![]()

Afaik he will be selling it anyway, don't blame him seeing as every other program needs payments for pluginsOriginally Posted by Nifflas
I don't believe there are any plans to charge for it, although a good wrapper to one of the physics libs which integrates well with MMF's moveable objects would certainly be popular enough to sell.

Afaik clickteam decided to pay him for the work, since the extension would be so important for the community. So according to what I heard, the extension would be released for free.
Of course I still offer that donation though, if there's any chance that it could speed up the process![]()

This is an extremely generous community. I wouldn't mind donating for extension development, especially to this one.
If I'll ever need a special extension that doesn't exist, I'll make sure to donate it to the community, after first paying someone to make it!
That is very generous of you.
Clickteam has the same spirit when it comes to trying to get new extensions to the community at no extra charge. That is how and why the Bonus Packs came to be.
We had a bit of a setback a while ago, but many extensions where being created and were not finished.
The good news is that we are still working on that, revamping the way to deliver the extensions, and developing some new ones. I think we will see more activity in that direction from the EDT group that will be published by CT.
I really wish that we had enough developers with enough time to fill some of the requests here, but the projects we consider are more general.
The donation idea is not a bad one if you can find a developer who would work under those circumstances. Maybe users with that in mind could get together and find a trustworthy method to pool funds that could then finance some more extensions? Under those auspices, it would be great if they were made available to the community.
I would add one caveat: If that ever did transpire, it would be a good idea to announce that an extension is going to be developed just in case there is already a version being made by the EDT or a third-party. No sense in duplicating them.
Let me just add some comment on this.
I was paid by Clickteam to make a physics extension, and I still have every intention of doing so. However at the current time I am extremely busy. While I want to finish the extension myself, I am not sure that it is fair to make people wait until I get finished being busy in order for the extension to get released.
So while I still plan to do something with this and make it free to the community, figuring out what exactly to do with it is challanging.
