backdrop object's "integral dimensions"?!?

What does it do the "integral dimensions" checkbox of the backdrop object?? It's not mentioned in the help nor in the manual.

It's in the quick backdrop object, and it's explained in the help file (there is just a little mistake, it says height instead of dimensions) :

Integral height : resizes the object to match a multiple of the height and width of the motif. This means that the motif will not be truncated by the borders.
