    Advance Path Movements

I was wondering if any has had any luck in creating a path movement system that would allow one sprite to want to get closer to another sprite, but walk around obstacles like a maze.

    Re: Advance Path Movements

There should be a new pathfinding object coming out shortly.

Its in the final stages of testing and should be pretty sweet when its done.

I think the older pathfinding extension is in the z33z extension pack.

Yes - That would be great - I got the single to work, so I am great there... but it really does just lock to one character.

    Re: Advance Path Movements

It's not locked to one character. You just have to find a path for each of your characters. You can then either do something like, store the path for each character externally as a string and refer to that each time you move that character, or you can re-find the path for each character each time he/she moves a step.

Strange - the characters only follow one path when I try to use it on more than one character --- got anything to show multiple chars using one path finder?

    Re: Advance Path Movements

Yeah, this is Andos' example for how to do such a thing, turned into a mmf2 file by me, i don't think he'll mind

And, i made a quick similar thing which i think is a simpler way to do it, though it works differently,
