    ftp upload

Hi! I really don't understand the ftp object. Clickteam have one example for how to download from server to comp. But i need too learn how to upload to server. I need to have a system that can batch upload files from a directory to a server so the user can choose where to put it. I want to upload both pictures and html.

Is this possible? Please give me an example file.
    Thanks!

    Re: ftp upload

Dont understand, the process would be the same for upload as it would for download, accept you change the action to UPLOAD.

You will need to ensure you either set your FTP settings in the object properties or within the event editor.

For batch files, that is something different, from just uploading a single file. For that you would need to also probably use something like a list box and the File object, so that you can store the file name and its location and then send it via the FTP object.

I would recommend you first try and get a single file uploaded to your server before trying the second option.

I haven't used that object since MMF 1.5 was first released, it seemed good at the time, I can't seem to use it to FTP to my xbox. Unfortunate as it would have been a good app.

    Re: ftp upload

Ok! What do you mean with where and what?

It's to a gallery creator, so the user just click upload to server and choose name, password and adress. Then it just upload the pictures that is in a list plus 2 html files. Do you understand?
