Midis not working

Okay, so I'm having problems with my midi files. They refuse to play! My sound/sample files play, but my midis won't. They won't even play when I try to play an example of them after browsing. I'm confused because I think the files themselves are fine because they play correctly outside of mmfd2. Does anyone know what's going on? Thanks.

I had that problem a while back and it turned out that the MIDI volume in the Windows Volume Control Panel had been turned down by another app. The MIDI's still played in Media Player outside of MMF, but not in MMF. Once I up-ed the volume again, all was fine.
