Oops, I broke the speed. The finished version will have to wait a day. Sorry. You can use the older platform engine until I release the new one if you want. It is the same but it doesn't support double jumps and acceleration/deceleration. it can be found at http://www.gerbletech.com/resource

That's fine, I'll wait. Gotta deal with a virus anyway.

    Re: Best Platform Engine?

That's fine, I do that all the time. I had a couple questions though... for multi player it's important for all the computers to run at the same speed so if this uses fast loops, will that affect multi player performance? also, will i be able to make to player UNable to change his direction when jumping?

    Can't wait for it!

    Re: Best Platform Engine?

When you say multiplayer, do you mean two people on the same computer or two people communicating over the internet? Yes, the object uses fastloops. And it runs 2 loops per instance of the object per frame. This COULd become difficult on older computers. So far though. I have been able to Use up to 12 instances with little or no lag. This is on a comp with 512MB of RAm and a REALLY old processer.

As for the jumping, I can give it a shot but I can't guaruntee being able to do it.

(Stupid speed is still being mean to me :P )

    Re: Best Platform Engine?

I mean over the internet, and for the jump I didn't mean to ask if you'd do it. I was just wondering if it could be done. (it's just a little pet peeve of mine to see a character change direction in mid-air)

Anyway though I don't want to rush you (I got 2-3 other projects I'm working on at the same time.) (I know, I know, but that's how I work best.)

    Thanks.
