    Network Platformer Shooter Help

    I have a platformer game, well into development, and as a side project I want to add a network feature to play on a local area network, and I have absolutely no idea where to start.

    Theres going to be 2-4 players, and they'll all be gun based. I just have no clue what to use, or really anything in the network communications end of it.

    Any help or a tutorial would be greatly appreciated!

    Will all of the computers be on the same side of a switch or bridge? If so you can use the Network Object. If not then you will need to use MooClick or MooGame.

    if its well into development - you may be in trouble already. with anything like LAN/Online you need to carefully plan it all before you start or you are doomed.
    i think you'll find you'll have to rewrite it for network.

    I figured that much, the only reason I pointed it out that it was well into development was that I already know exactly how I want the game to work, rewriting it would be easy.

    Theres about 4 computers using the same wifi connection, we havent' set up a network yet, but would this setup work with the network object once a network is set up?
