Layer Object can't move counters to specific layer

The Layer Object's "Move to level" command doesn't seem to work for some objects like counters and strings. Only the Layer Object's default value works for them, but I need to place some stuff on different layers.

As a workaround I'm using "Move above/below object B" to sort single objects to their layer. But that's a very limited solution, not suitable to handle masses of objects, like lifebars for various creatures.

Hmm... it should work. Have you unselected the "Display as background" option for these objects?

Yes, "Display as background" is unselected. I make the layer update and in the next event line I set these objects manually, guess this should work?
