    Flame object ink effects?

Hi, the flame object is really great, but I can't get ink effects to work... When you choose an object to set on fire, it gives you an option for the effect:

    It says:
    Ink ( 0-Set, 1-Add, 2-Subtract, 3-Max, 4-Min ) + Hotness ( 0-Solid, 5-Lightness )

What does it mean by Set, Add, Subtract, Max, and Min, and Hotness?
The flame looks a bit different when I put different numbers here, but I don't know what numbers do what.
    Thanks

Ink Effects are settings that mess around with the color and transparency of an object to put it simply. Active objects have these too. Playing around with it can yield some pretty interesting results.

    Re: Flame object ink effects?

I believe I said that. They change the appearance of an object by changing its color values and transparencies based on presets. That is what they do. They change how the flames look. Add and Subtract are just preset ink effects.
